Bringing food on an airplane?
Hi,
I'm travelling across the country tomorrow, and I have a very severe gluten allergy. I know there's absolutely no chance of me buying gluten-free food on the plane, and I doubt I'd be able to find anything safe and filling at the Pearson airport. Do you think I'd be able to bring a Metal Thermos of risotto with me in my carry-on? I'm flying with Air Canada, all flights are domestic.
Thanks!
Scarlett--I intend to, but my first flight is at 10 a.m. and I arrive at my final destination at about 9 p.m. The Pearson is my midpoint. Thanks, though!
In this case you can eat a gluten free meal in your house just before leaving and you can always buy some gluten free cupcakes, bread, muffins that you can easily carry during the flight. Or you can also purchase a gluten free bread or any baked goodies online and have it delivered on the destination you are going to. Another option is to know where to find a local store with gluten free food on that destination before you go there.
