What do you think about today's rock music and rock culture?
I find that to me todays mainstream music just horrible. With This emo stuff thats killing rock as we know it or knew it at least. There are some really bad bands like Hawthorne Hights, Panic at the Disco, Three days grace, Nickelback, My Chemical Romance, and I could go on forever. It really makes me worried because this little fad could really hurt rock. Nobody is going to remember Fall Out Boy as being rock legunds. Nobody cares about the music anymore. Its all about the emo culture. Nobody wants to be an individual anymore. These people also shop at one place. Hot Topic. Hello Kitty Lunch Boxes and Led Zeppelin aren't rock!! Most of you will probably disagree with me because your trapped by this fake culture.
There are very few bands and artist I like out there in the main stream that are still playing music, that I like and those are the White Stripes, Beck, and The Shins.

Well then don't restric yourself to mainstream. Take a look at some of the young guitarists out there. Kenny Wayne Shepard, Chris Duarte, Derek Trucks. Also, some old artists are coming out with some great stuff. Eric Clapton and JJ Cale colaborating making Road to Escondido, and with a mainstream artist! John Mayer!
