Ok, so should I make this or that for their lunch tommorow?
Well I make my 11 & 13 year old's lunch because they are busy and they don't really care because the school lunches are gross...so this is what I plan on making for tomorrow -
11 year old (son)
-Nutella, peanut butter, and banana sandwich on wheat bread (he doesn't usually get these because they are unhealthy but it's his treat for this week!)
-A thermos of milk (it's about a cup or cup and a half worth)
-Homemade granola and greek yogurt with strawberries
13 year old (daughter)
-Homemade salad with cranberries, feta cheese, light raspberry vinaigrette, and pine nuts
-A whole wheat baguette (again, homemade!)
-Homemade greek yogurt with granola and strawberries (same as my son)
-A truffle from Godiva
-A thermos of homemade sugar free iced tea with a few squirts of lemon
Does this sound good?
That sounds really good! If only I had the time to make all that for my own lunch everyday! I like how you are making them something healthy but at the same time it actually tastes good. These days kids think that if something is considered healthy then it has to taste bad (obviously not true). It's good to teach your kids healthy eating habits.
